QUALITATIVE DATA

We conducted a series of focus groups and 1:1 interviews with stakeholders. Here’s what we learned about our community:

  • Stakeholders identified gaps in medical care for veterans, people who identify as LGBTQ+ and those who are undocumented.
  • Not enough specialists, leading to long waits for appointments, coupled with a need for more flexible clinic hours.
  • Both stakeholders and community groups cited a need for more specialists and services for older adults, especially those who are living alone in their homes.
  • Community members asked for more flexible income requirements for both medical and dental financial support.
